My poems are now live in the recently published Issue 21 of Split Rock Review! I am so thrilled to be included in this beautiful collection of nature poetry, prose, and art with such an impressive group of creatives! Split Rock did an amazing job curating a collection of pieces that overlap themes of loss, resilience, and hope.

Selected for Lefty Blondie Press Editors' Choice

28 April 2025

I am over the moon to announce that Lefty Blondie Press chose my poem "Must Be Able to Cackle" for their 2025 Editors' Choice Broadside Selection! LBP sees this series as an opportunity to "promote the art of letterpress printing, and create avenues to poetry for those who may otherwise avoid encountering it." My poem will be given to a letterpress designer who will create a piece of visual art! I've never had a poem turned into a broadside before, and I couldn't be more excited. Thank you to the amazing women at LBP press for recognizing my work, and congrats to the Finalists and First Runners-up

Reading for Carlow University

27 April 2025

Last night, I had the privilege and absolute pleasure of reading for Raising Our Voices, an alumni series sponsored by the Carlow University MFA in Creative Writing Program. My fellow readers were Karla Lamb and Sheila Carter-Jones, both fabulous poets with whom I am honored to have shared a virtual stage! There were many overlaps in the themes of our poetry - particularly, the way women are seen in society. Raising Our Voices is on break for the summer and will return in September. I've already marked my calendar.

Published in No Net Ensnares Me

5 August 2024

As part of his tenure as Writer in Residence for the Bronte Parsonage Museum, poet Ian Humphreys edited a collection of prose poetry inspired by the Bronte sisters and the wild landscape around Haworth, UK. I was commissioned to write a piece for this anthology,  and was invited to read at a launch party a few weeks ago! It's been a lovely experience, and I am so grateful to be included. Studying at Cambridge

7 July 2023

This September, I am beyond excited to announce that I will be attending the University of Cambridge! I’ve been accepted into their Master of Studies in Creative Writing program. In this course, I will be attempting to write fiction, non-fiction, and writing for the screen - all new territory for me. I’m excited to push my craft beyond where I thought it could go at such an amazing institution. Wish me luck!

Workshopping at Kenyon

23rd June 2023

While I’m back in the US this July, I will be attending the Kenyon Review Writers Workshops! I was initially waitlisted, but the universe had my back and a spot opened up. My instructor for the week will be the remarkable poet Paul Tran, and I cannot wait to see what direction my work will take under their guidance.

Writing at Garsdale

15th June 2023

My writing practice requires that I take solid chunks of time out of my schedule to devote to my poetry. I usually try to attend two writing retreats or workshops a year in order to keep myself focused - and to declutter my notebooks! After a lot of research and rave reviews of the food, I settled on the Garsdale Retreat in the Yorkshire Dales. I hiked, visited glorious waterfalls, bought a pile of Wensleydale cheese, and had some amazing meals made lovingly by my host Rebecca. Most importantly, I wrote.

Published in Voices from the Attic, Vol. 27

15th June 2023

On and off since 2007, I have been a proud member of the Madwomen in the Attic writing workshop for women. It used to be in-person-in-Pittsburgh-only, but thanks to Covid, the workshops went global. I zoom every Wednesday with our group led by the fabulous poet Nancy Krygowski, and they’ve helped me to produce some of the best work of my writing career. You can see a few of the pieces I created during our workshop in the Voices from the Attic, Vol 27 collection. Thank you to the poetry editors for selecting my poems!
